She scrambles to get away and ends up running through the village a little before slipping and having a giant fall. This fall knocks her journal open. The recording was pressed on by accident, and the book is upside down so there is no picture. There is only:]

[ He starts off in the direction of the Welcome Center, it shouldn't be too far away. ]

[ His smile fades as he remembers another important thing to note. ]

There's another thing you should keep in mind. Every so often here... really weird stuff happens. You gotta stay on your toes.

Weird stuff?

People here call 'em experiments. Last time we got stuck with these weird masks that'd make us act weird or do strange things to us.

[ He's not going to mention what happened with the moon, even afterwards he still doesn't completely get what happened then. ]

That's not good at all!

[ He frowns and nods. ]

There's not much you can do to avoid 'em, you just gotta stay calm and try not to get yourself in any extra danger.

I- I'll remember that! [She nods. She'll have to keep her cool when that happens so no one has to be troubled with her. Right!]

Also... Sometimes they'll just take one person away for a while. I don't really know what happens, but they seem to come back fine for the most part.

[Shiemi opens her mouth to say something, but they arrive before the Welcome Center before she can. Immediately she switches the topic to-]

Is this the place?

[ The change in topic is welcome; Firo doesn't like to be the bearer of bad news. ]

Yeah. They've got everything here: food, maps and you can even spend the night here until you find a place to stay.

Maps? A place to stay? [Clearly she needs to know more.] I don't have money to pay for that stuff.

It's all free. Probably the one good thing about this place.

So long as there's an empty space. And actually, if ya look around the shops you might find some a' your stuff.

That is... convenient. Could you show me where to find a map in there, please?

[ He goes to the door, holding it open for her. ]

Sure. There should be a map in my jacket, too, if ya just wanna take that one.

[She walks in, but when he suggests that she take his map she turns red and shakes her head.]

I- I couldn't! It's yours! I can just get another one!

[ He follows her and lets the door fall shut. Her vehement refusal has him chuckling a bit. ]

I could just get another one, too, but if you insist...

[ He looks around for the desk Rydia had given him his map from. ]

W-well this one is already yours...

[ He trots the familiar drawer and rummages through it until he finds a map identical to his and holds it out to her. ]

[She takes the map sheepishly and looks embarrassed.] Thank you.
