❀ 8th Weed in the Garden - Voice/Action ❀

[The Voice function on the journal starts up, but instead of Shiemi's voice it's Rin's:]

Ossu. It's me, Rin -- I lost my journal a while ago and I still haven't find the thing. 'M using Shiemi's just for a bit to make sure anyone who doesn't know, knows. [...] Uh, I can't really keep using this, so if you wanna come talk meet me at House 15?

[Action]
[People can find Shiemi doing one of two things today:

1) In the sky people can see Shiemi practicing with her now very large (now full grown at five feet and seven inches) skarmory. She'll stand on her Pokémon's back as if she were surfing, ride on its back like it's a horse, or - this one has her particularly frightened - practice falling. Shiemi stands up, lets herself fall backwards off of Skarmy, and then Skarmy swoops back around to catch her. Honestly they hope never to put the skill to use for real, but they might have to use it.

2) After they're done the duo go back to the house (#15) to rest. Shiemi treats Skarmy to some spicy foods, and while the large bird starts preening its feathers... some steel feathers fall off! Skarmy is has started molting, and leaving large, sharp metal feathers everywhere. Oops!]

Y-you wouldn't do that, would you? [Shiemi turns back to Izumo.] Is there anyway to stop that from happening?

[She nods enthusiastically, but Skarmy rolls her eyes. She didn't get along with Swellow too well.]

Skarmy doesn't eat pets. It should be okay!

[Wildlife is fair game though.]

Would it be rude if I asked where Akane lives now?

I meant how does Red keep his Pokémon in shape, but maybe it would have been better to ask how does Red train his Pokémon?

Well, it's not like I'm a bird expert or anything. Of course, if it were my bird I'd have researched this kind of thing already.

Awwwh, but it seems like a really cool idea in my head! I'd show you what I'm trying to talk about, buuut...

[She doesn't want to try anything when Skarmy already sounds pretty unhappy about the idea. Lame.]

Maybe I could put some blueprints together instead and show you those.

Oh! Well that's pretty easy. I just kinda have 'em battle with each other! Learn how to cover their weaknesses and stuff. You'd have to ask Green for really specific training stuff. That's more his area than mine!

His training is uh... interesting. He works his Pokemon hard. They're really strong though, so I guess it works!

[Skarmy just narrows her eyes. Her mom was sent home with Falkner not too long after she hatched, and if anything at least she has her father here. She doesn't need no stinking jerk brother.]
