[ so this just happened. Probably at the house, with the shouting and ending with him incinerating the journal and scaring Midori the turtle, who he is now making to comfort and leave his room to head into the living room. If Shiemi is home she probably heard that or came home heard the tail end of it. Otherwise, he'll have to go find her or they will run into each other of course ]

[Exhausted from a day of training and hauling cacti Shiemi all but zombie walks into the house. She fully intends on collapsing on the car-couch, but Rin may have to catch her before she dozes. If he's headed into the living room they'll cross paths there.]

[ He's got the turtle in hand then, but seeing her stumbling in like that he ends up setting Midori down on the ground (sorry turtle) and rushes over to Shiemi like- ]

[A small smile spreads across her lips as she settles into the sofa.]

Hello, Rin! How was your day...?

I got in an argument earlier, I'm still kinda ... messed up about it, I guess.

Yeah... again. [ Honestly at this point it's pretty much embarrassing. Particularly after how he really had bad timing last time and. And everything since. He exhales through his nose and... ]

Oi, Shiemi. What do you think about those mission things they do here? Or about the Malnosso or... did you see that big team up thing on the journals that guy talked about earlier today?

[ This is way over his head to think about. He ends up sitting on the couch next to her and leaning back on it ]

Sorta. We had an argument in it... 'cus he thinks the Malnosso are our allies.

Yeah, and I still don't get how- [ He snarls... but then knows he was losing his temper again, so he exhales out of his nose ]

... So did you know that the guys who kidnap people are apparently different than the rest of 'em?

Ah, no? Wait, maybe. I might have heard that before. I try not to get too involved, and just try to be around when people need me.

[The politics of it all confuses her. There are too many grey areas that secretly she doesn't know how or want to deal with.]

[ ... ] I don't wanna help a bunch've bad guys. But if it can help out the people here, or if we can help people out there, shouldn't we at least look into it? That's what exorcists do.

[ And it's been bothering him doing as little as he has. But he also understands where Shiemi's coming from - the fact it's confusing and the fact it doesn't seem to help anyone is a lot of why he never went for it ]
