Personality:
On the surface Shiemi is a shy and sheltered. She hasn't had much contact with people outside of her home, aside from the occasional visits from exorcists at the shop. Even when Yukio first visited the shop Shiemi decided to hide around the corner so he and Fujimoto could only see her peeking around the side. Because of her shyness (and body's fragility) Shiemi never attended school, thus depriving her of most normal experiences adolescents would go through. However all this time not spent at school socializing was used to familiarize herself with her grandmother's garden. Because of this, Shiemi has a vast knowledge of herbal remedies and plants' medicinal qualities. She's also, over time, has nicknamed various plants (example: Aloe = Mr. Sancho).
As a result of being so sheltered the girl is naive and extremely guillable. After her grandmother's death she blamed herself, and that weakness in her heart allowed a demon to creep in. The dekalp took the form of a pansy, and tricked Shiemi into making a deal with it. The demon would protect the garden as it fed off Shiemi through parasitic roots in her legs. Yet it seemed she found nothing wrong with this. Even after Shiemi lost use of her legs she still worked in the garden, determined not to let die. Her determination was impressive, but with each passing day her body grew weaker. However with a little intervention from Rin and Yukio they were able to exorcise the demon from her. It was after that when Shiemi decided to finally leave her house and join Rin (and Yukio as her teacher) at the True Cross Academy cram school so that she may learn about the world and become stronger.
Going to school did seem to boost her confidence, even if just a little. With this slight boost she tried to be outgoing and make friends with Izumo and Paku (she didn't try making friend's with the other boys in the class because Bon had teased Rin about "flirting" with her, and Rin said she wasn't a friend). When trying to put herself out there to be friends with Izumo and Paku she became quite flustered, and clumsy. It's worth noting she can become flustered and embarrassed quite easily. Still determined after embarrassing herself in front of the girls Shiemi waited for better moment to try again. This happened when Izumo and Shiemi proved themselves to be capable demon tamers, which is a rare trait among exorcists. Izumo continues to mock Shiemi, but after class the blond still asks to be friends. Shiemi's stubbornness pays off, but the whole time they're "friends" Izumo uses Shiemi to hold her bags and by her drinks. As Rin put it, Izumo is just "bossing her around."
However Shiemi doesn't mind that. She believes she is helping Izumo, and will not accept that she is just being used because Izumo is her "first friend." This pretty much resolved after Shiemi saves Izumo's friend, Paku, from dying of a burning temptaint of a ghoul. Izumo still says Shiemi irritates her, but the blond always addresses Izumo with a cheery attitude and a smile.
Generally happy to do hard work, the girl puts her all into everything she does even if it's small tasks such as gardening or doing laundry. Shiemi constantly looks for ways she can be useful to to her friends, and she even when she fails she'll get back up to try again. However all of the trying and failing can send her confidence through loops, having her questioning her abilities and worth many times. Because of this she can be hard on herself, and put herself in a bit of an emotional rut. Yet small words of encouragement and kind gestures can get her back up and running again.
Overall Shiemi's one true desire is self improvement. It is why she joined the cram school and ultimately why she decided to become an exorcist. She feels she is not good or strong enough, and admires the abilities of those around her (example: she admires the way Rin seflessly runs into danger during the Esquire exam). She wants to be at the same level as her friends so she isn't "left behind." Shiemi wants to "catch up" so that she can stand with everyone else in her class and be an equal. This is emotional as well, having been angry with her own reaction to Rin being Satan's son having been insensitive.
Strengths:

- Stubbronness and Determination: this allows her to get back up after she has fallen, and allow her to grow from her experiences. Izumo once describes her as stubborn and shameless as a weed.
Physical
-Talented Tamer: it is rare that exorcists are able to summon familiars, and she was able to call forth a baby greenman. She calls him "Nee" and he can spring forth (so far that's shown) any kind of plant Shiemi can thing of from his body (example: calling forth aloe to treat Paku's burns and a root system to shield people from a ghoul).
Weaknesses:
Physical
-Frail Body/Noncombatant: pretty much self explanatory, but in a fist fight Shiemi would not be able to hold her own. Hell, she probably wouldn't be able to handle any kind of fight with just her body alone.
Mental/Emotional
-Guillable/Naive: She can easily be tricked or manipulated because she's not very skeptical or distrusting.
-Low Self-Confidence: At times Shiemi can be very hard on herself, putting her in a sad emotional state when she does (in Kyoto she actually hid herself in a garden to not be in anyone's way).
As a note: Familiars can be dismissed if their summoning papers are cut, and all "Earth" demons are weak against "Air" in the demon cycle chart. Also if Nee were to be brought into Luceti he would not be suceptible to the paper trick because he'd be claimed as a pet not a summon.

The light of the sun gently warmed her skin as she dug into the ground. Dirt covered Shiemi's forearms and stained the knees of her clothes. The smell of onion grass lightly wafted through the area as the girl turned the soil in the area. Shiemi would grow her own garden here. It may not be able to be as splendid as the Garden of Amahara, but this was a wonderful opportunity to learn and experience working with plants from other worlds. The blond watched with a small smile as bugs and worms scurried and writhed about because of her work.
“Don’t worry,” she spoke, “when the garden is finished you’ll have a beautiful new home.”
Hours later her arms were tired, her breath was shallow, and her body was sweaty, but the job was done. Shiemi wiped sweat from her brow with the back of her wrist, unintentionally making her face more of a mess. She didn’t care. The girl was simply happy she could have this garden to tend and care for. Sure one day she might not be here to look after it, but she has to trust the plants she will nurture to be strong; just like she has to trust the plants in her grandmother’s garden to be strong without her. One day, Shiemi hopes, that someone will trust her to be strong – that someone will believe in her. Just like these plants. One day she’ll be strong enough. One day she’ll definitely attain a weed’s spirit, but that day is a long way off. She’ll have to work hard for it, she knows, but she isn’t afraid of work. She’ll take it on with a smile, just like she did with this garden. Finally Shiemi picks up the water pail and begins to sprinkle water over the plants.

Characters Wanted: Yukio, the Kyoto Trio (Bon, Konekomaru, Shima), and Shura, but we'll be happy to have just about anyone.
We're a big (300+...ish) character game with our speed being medium (though it can get fast during events). However we're extremely backtag friendly, and the speed usually depends on how much you personally decide to tag around. We also have plenty of boomerang taggers if you're more that speed too. ALSO: We're journal based, and I know that's not everyone's cup of tea, but that shouldn't hold you back from checking us out.
