[When the note appears upon the page it looks like it was written by a hand that was possibly trembling in fear. When read it says:]

Anyone who was bothered by "Steel Maiden" please come to the fountain in the plaza. I'm so- It's important!

[When people arrive there they'll find a blond teen. She's looking around nervously, trying to determine from the crowd who she pestered over the event. Shiemi trembles with her hands gripping her knees, and shoulders hunched a bit. Oh dear she wasn't ready for this yet! But it's been so long. She has to do this.]

Maybe a bruise. It was annoying, but I did worse to myself when I was a kid.

[Fenimore doesn't respond right away. She...really thought she was going to hold it against her so much as to stop being friends? (Fenimore, you may not have even told her that you have accepted her friendship yet outside of the AU experiment or at least I don't recall it and you're expecting her to have such faith in it?)]

...Shiemi, you....

[And then suddenly without warning she's going to attempt to pull her down into a somewhat sloppy headlock. This is going to require some reaching from her tiptoes, given that Fenimore is only about 5"1'.]

You really are an idiot sometimes.

[Shiemi makes a small squeak, but doesn't resist the headlock. In fact she might reflexively adjust so the position is a little less awkward.]

E-eh?

[Excellent. You have the proper mindset to be Fenimore's minion.]

Did you really think I was going stop being your friend over something like that? You weren't even yourself. Do you really think I'm the sort of person to hold a grudge over that?

[...P...ossibly she would outside an event but not that big of a grudge. Either way...noogie time to distract you from not entirely sound logic! Except she's not going to be doing it hard enough to hurt or really accomplish anything other than messing up her hair.]

[This surprises Shiemi, and she struggles because of it. She's... okay she's giggling though.]

F-F-F-Fenimore!

[blessingone]

[When Shiemi starts giggling, she can't help but grin a little herself. She gives one last ruffle of her hair for the road before releasing her.

She then takes a couple of steps back and points at her with one accusing finger. She's trying to look stern, but the grin is leaking through.]

You aren't getting rid of me that easily.

[shamelessness]

[Shiemi tries to pat her hair down, cheeks red from embarrassment.]

S-s-sorry.

And then to apologize over something like that.... [She waves a hand dismissively.] Well, I can let it go this once.

[And then, a small smile makes its way through.] You don't have to worry so much, okay? Friendship isn't something that weak.

[Most of the time. But she figures that this is not the time for teaching Shiemi cynicism realism.]

[Suddenly tears well up in her eyes, and threaten to roll down her cheeks.]

Fen-Fenimore I'm so happy. [And with that she hugs her friend.]

[She probably shouldn't be, given what she knows of Shiemi, but she's pretty obviously startled.]

H-hey! C...come on -- there's no need to get that worked up.... [But her protests are weak and rapidly descend into the realm of mumbling.]

[shamelessness]

B-but I'm so happy...

[blessingone]

You're making it sound like I said something weird.

[But she supposes it's a bigger deal for Shiemi, not having had friends before and all. So she can return that hug, she guesses.]

[Shiemi give Fenimore a tight, squeezing hug before letting her go.]

I do. [Okay out of the hug, she puts her hands in her pockets. one wonders if ferines clothing has pockets but let us assume that they do for now]
