[It's a beautiful day today! The sun is shining, but it's not particularly hot. Perfect weather. Just perfect. So today Shiemi ends up taking a nap just off the road on her way to the plaza. The girl and her Skarmory end up spending most of their day there enjoying the river and the small open space of grass by it. She can be caught napping, playing with her pokemon, talking to the plants, or splashing around a little in the shallow part of the water. And later she'll ask a question in the journals.]

What's your favorite thing to do on a sunny day?

[WHAT THE HELL. Ow that shoves his hand and his sword back. It can't take it in hand, but the force of the blow does knock it out of its scabbard and land on the ground behind him. Which means he transforms anyway- excellent. Now much faster, he leaps to land a punch on Skarmy]

[Koromaru yips, still trying to break away and play with the metal bird. Minato just can't see that ending well, so he takes a step backward.] I don't want to bother your friend.

I'm sure they would appreciate it!

[Shiemi and Skarmy exchange looks. The bird shrinks a little, looking discouraged, but not entirely drained of enthusiasm. When the blond looks back at Minato it perks up again.]

Don't worry, it should be fine!

[shamelessness]

[Skarmy takes the hit, flying back aways with her steel scuffed up from the blow. Give her a sec, she needs to recover from that one.]

Sand-attack! [As fast as she can (which might be a little slower than normal because of the hit) the bird turns around to kick dirt up in Rin's face/direction.]

[Voice]

Of course. If there's still daylight to burn, I've gotta do somethin', right?

[Well, if she's sure. He lowers Koromaru onto the ground again, but fortunately the dog doesn't try to attack. You've escaped for now, bird.]

But that's so much! What will you do next, Gold?

[Skarmy makes her way over to the dog. She'd probably wrestle with it, but since Shiemi discouraged any rough housing... the bird boops Koromaru on the nose with the round part of her beak.

Shiemi smiles at Skarmy behaving.]

[He didn't think she could sound more nervous. And can only hope he hasn't inadvertently stumbled on another love triangle.]

Heh. He's a different kind of vampire - an attention-sucker.

[Shiemi friendzones super hard so... Shiemi giggles.]

That's a funny way of putting it.

It sums him up well. He's not too difficult to deal with when you realize that.

You think he's difficult to deal with before that?

I think some people are too quick to write him off.

Ah -- it's not that it's bad, exactly.... But I feel bad for you. The real ocean is an amazing place. It's not that the one here isn't great, too, but...the ocean is just beautiful.

[Koromaru barks and jumps back a place. Bird!! But he doesn't run or anything, he's a braver dog than that.

Minato seems to decide there's no problem here anymore and walks towards Shiemi, hands in pockets.]

What's he called...? [the bird, obviously.]

[Not really though. She honestly doesn't know the boy well enough to agree or say any different.]

It's... like a partner that you call to help you fight demons.

Her name is Skarmy.

[The Pokémon chirps at him, boops him in the nose again, and hops away as if it were playing tag.]

Whatever comes to me next, of course!

[Rin intensifies his flames as he rushes in for the next attack. while some sand does indeed land on him, the majority of the dirt//sand actually ends up lighting on fire and/or melting or... whatever dirt does when exposed to intense heat as opposed to hitting him. That said, he's still quite a ways off despite his speed. Skarmy probably has time for another move]
