[The victory against Masaomi, the hard training from Green, and Green's question about power... It's got her thinking. Is she powerful? Is she catching up? Is the day she can fight side-by-side with her impressive friends close? She doesn't want to be a burden. She wants to be strong. She wants to help.]

Luceti? I want to know what you think makes you strong. How does a person get strong? Or what do you do to make yourself strong?

[If one-on-one is more your sort, anybody can find Shiemi outside of the clothing shop trying to wrap a scarf around her 7ft+ metal bird. It can't be easy facing winter weather when you're metal. Especially when facing it after a nice heat wave.]

Are you learning how to fight?
tsuntrader: (Hmph.)

[personal profile] tsuntrader 2013-01-15 05:36 am (UTC)(link)
Of course it does. That's when it counts the most. That's the whole point of getting back up again.

Besides, being weaker than someone doesn't make you weak.

[Man he's got no idea how he should be responding to that voiced bit. After all, he's not sure himself, mostly because he hasn't thought that much about it. Okay, well, he has, but he's just gone in a straight line doing what seemed most relevant to be doing with it. Which is to say, mastering his flames.

...So he's not going to comment on that.

So instead, he's going to sigh and go about his day, only to encounter Shiemi working the scarf thing later. He blinks and-]
Skarmy likes that color, huh?

Ah, I heard the answer to this a while ago. [ she feels so proud that she can even answer it, honestly... ]

It's training.

Perhaps not a need, but it can be helpful! Honing every part of the body can be useful in desperate situations!

[Good answer!]

Okay, physical...but that's hard to teach with words.

Strength, huh. [That's not too difficult.] I think you get strong when you have someone you want to protect.

In my case I just keep training and fighting, as long as I am just enough strong to protect what I care for and defeat my enemies I don't really care about how strong I am exactly or if I get stronger. Though I know some people who are far stronger than I will ever be without really wanting or trying to be that strong.

Guess that in the end strength is something you're born with or not.

If you're looking for something that will help with mental strength, chess works well.

Uh, hm. I hear bench pressing is a big thing? I wouldn't really know.
silversnowfall: (is that so)

[personal profile] silversnowfall 2013-01-15 06:59 pm (UTC)(link)
That depends on what kind of strength you want to discuss. I think being strong means not letting trouble keep you from moving forward.

[Fenimore doesn't think she has too much to contribute to this conversation beyond what has already been said, but she is curious about one thing:]

Why do you ask?
bravefighter: (Default)

[personal profile] bravefighter 2013-01-15 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably physical strength? I dunno. I know I don't give up, either! I dunno what that'd count as, though.
